Polly Pocket: Lunar Eclipse (originally known as Polly Pocket's The First Movie or Polly Pocket) is a 2004 direct-to-DVD film based on the Polly Pocket line of dolls. It was the first animated film based on the franchise, the first of three developed by Universal Studios, succeeded by films Polly Pocket: 2 Cool at the Pocket Plaza and PollyWorld. Despite its obscure reception in the United States, the film became popular with Latin American countries due to the high sales of the Polly Pocket line at the time in the region.It was packaged with the Dazzlin' Pet Show.
Synopsis[]
Polly and friends take an awesome jet trip to a tropical island that's totally hip! Will they ace their school project? Will their band rock the school? You'll just have to watch - it's totally cool!

Join Polly and her friends as they travel to her father's island in the Pacific to research lunar eclipses. But the pressure is on! If they don't get a good grade for the project, Lila will be grounded and Polly's band, "Polly and the Pockets" won't be able to play at the school dance! Will they ace the project and get to play? Or will frenemies get in the way...
Plot[]
Polly Pocket is a cheerful popular girl who has four friends at school: Lila, Ana, Shani, and Lea, who together join the band Polly and the Pockets.
One day, Polly and her friends are given homework about lunar eclipses. Lila is nervous because if she does not do well on the assignment she will be unable to play in the band at the school dance as a form of punishment. Polly and her friends organize a trip to a waterpark to learn about lunar eclipses. Meanwhile, Beth, a classmate who is jealous of Polly, decides to sabotage their trip by giving Lila a camera that's been tampered with, so that she will be unable to photograph the eclipse.
Polly and her friends have fun at the waterpark. At night when they start to do their homework they notice that a baby dolphin is stuck near the beach, and they decide to help it return to the sea. When they return home, Lila discovers that the photos she took of the eclipse were spoiled because the film was full of double exposures. But in the end, Polly creates a plan to save the project presentation with the help of drawings made by Ana, and Polly and her band manage to perform at the school dance after all.
